Then, by giving you love, which is a light of faith, He has bestowed on you a table of blessings, happiness, and pleasure that is beyond compare. In other words, in respect of your body, you are a small, weak, helpless, contemptible, limited, restricted part. With His favor, you have become a luminous whole from a partial part. Because by giving you life, He has brought you from partiality to a kind of universality, and by giving you humanity, He has brought you to a true universality, and by giving you Islam, He has brought you to a sublime and luminous universality, and by giving you knowledge and love, He has brought you to an all-encompassing light.
