About :

We visited our friend Fernando Arteaga, a Fresnillo native and nature lover. On the way we talked about the dangers in the mountains, such as rattlesnakes. We climbed the hill of the Mesa de los Baños, where Fernando has found dozens of pieces that are clear evidence that people lived here long before the arrival of the Spanish to these lands rich in precious minerals. Fernando also told us that mining companies have explored the region and have already bought large tracts of land, which indicates that Fresnillo has many riches to exploit. This is the first of two parts of this adventure, in the second Fernando tells us how the mountains saved his life, literally.
