Meet the all-new MG Cyberster! It’s the first all-electric roadster to hit UK roads, and Mat got behind the wheel to find out what it’s like to drive the all-electric sports car. Firstly, let’s check out the looks. From the front, the Cyberster looks really smart, with a long, sloping nose across the bonnet, which also has a few creases. There may be a few fake air vents in the bumper, but there are also a few real ones. The headlight design is quite elegant, although unfortunately they’re not matrix LEDs. There are more creases along the sides, along with a side sill trim, while at the back there’s a full-length light bar, as well as arrow-shaped brake lights! There are certainly others, although we’re not sure everyone will be a fan of them. Step inside and the Cyberster’s cabin is brilliant. The driver has a choice of three digital screens – two small ones for satnav and driving/charging data, plus a large screen for the dials. There’s also an additional screen on the centre console for controlling the cabin climate. There’s also faux leather on the dashboard and seats, as well as a mix of Alcantara. All in all, the Cyberster is a really nice place to sit! When it comes to performance, there are two editions to choose from. The entry-level version is the Trophy with a single electric motor producing 340bhp. The GT has two motors (and therefore four-wheel drive) and is capable of 510bhp! The GT does have a shorter range, though, with a claimed range of 276 miles compared to the Trophy’s 316 miles. Both cars are fitted with a 74kWh battery. The MG Cyberster starts at around £55,000 and rises to £65,000 for the highest-range versions. So is it worth it? You’ll have to join Mat to find out!
