Some people’s eyes look at what they are looking at with great longing and longing; they look with a feeling of attainment and blessing that is hard to reach. After looking with such deep longing and desire, a malfunction may occur in the thing looked at, a discomfort may occur. This is called hit-i ayn, or eye damage. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stated in a hadith in which he informed that the evil eye is real, “The evil eye sends a camel to the grave, but a man to the grave.” *The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) read Ayat al-Kursi, Surahs al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq and an-Nas against the evil eye and advised his companions to read them as well. In addition, the sheikhs and the people of discovery recommended reading the 51st and 52nd verses of Surah al-Qalam to protect oneself from the effect of the evil eye or to be saved if the evil eye has struck. In the Surah Al-Qalam, the text and meaning of the mentioned verses are as follows: ِأَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ “When those disbelievers hear the Dhikr (Quran), they will almost make you slip with their gaze out of their greed, and they will almost eat you with their eyes! And they will say, ‘He is a madman!’ (Where is madness, where is that? Does the Quran have anything to do with madness?) The Quran is, at best, only a lesson for all mankind.” “Nothing can stop what Allah makes happen!..” *There are those who look at termites’ works and think they are rhinoceroses, because Allah makes them domes. How dare a termite?!. If other species of termites find a hole underground and put their heads in, they consider themselves sultans; do they think they are in a white palace, a pink palace or an orange palace! As for those termites, they build domes like the Seljuk domes. If someone who looks at a termite's dome sees it as an elephant, let him weep for his own poor mistake. We absolutely believe and know that if all fifteen million people in Turkey devoted eighteen hours a day to this work and became active, still without the grace of God, 1300 schools would not be opened in a hundred and seventy countries of the world. By God, they would not be opened. Cultural centers would not be opened. Dormitories would not be opened. Hostels would not be opened. Televisions would not be opened. Radios would not be opened. Newspapers would not be published. Readers could not be obtained. It would not happen without divine grace. *“Let this one die and this business be over!” they say. You are wrong!.. If Allah directs and manages a task and people's sensations, or rather their inner moves, occur with the will and will of Allah, I swear to God that no one can stop it. Not even Byzantium can stop it, not even Persia can stop it. Those who act in Byzantium cannot stop it, not even those who act in Persian can stop it, with Allah's permission.
