Hey, you meat lovers! Today, BBQ Madness is all about steak cuts. Grilling beef is one of the most popular proteins thrown onto hot grills, not just here, but all over the world. Freddi gives you a brief overview of the most popular cuts, where they actually come from in the beef, and what all the names mean. Of course, there are also a few valuable tips about letting them rest and salting them. So buckle up, let's get started! All steaks can be grilled in a variety of different ways. Here are two of the most common: DIRECT GRILLING OF STEAK Preheat the infrared burner to full heat for 7 minutes Optional: Salt the steak generously on all sides Place the steak on the grill and grill it on all sides for approx. 3-5 minutes (depending on the cut and size) until an even crust has formed (my tip - turn it every 30 seconds for even cooking) Place the steak on the storage rack in the indirect area of the grill (burners under the steak are off) Close the lid and cook at approx. 150 °C to the desired core temperature INDIRECT GRILLING OF STEAK Preheat the grill to approx. 150 °C for indirect grilling (burners are also at a low heat - an area over which the meat is then lying is off) Optional: Salt the steak generously on all sides Place the steak on the storage rack above the indirect area, close the lid and cook the steak 3 °C below the desired core temperature (example: desired core temperature 54 °C - steak at 51°C) Preheat the infrared burner for 7 minutes on full heat Grill the steak briefly on all sides until a perfect crust has formed SAUCES FOR STEAK Even though I personally don't need sauces for steak - whatever tastes good is allowed :) Chimichurri: • Chimichurri BBQ Madness Buttermilk Ranch Dressing: • RANCH DRESSING - original American Bu...
