This film was shown on SVT in 1987 after the closure of the world's longest cable car. Large parts of the film are archive material from 1943 + what Staffan Nygren and I filmed in 1979, when the first film about the cable car was shown. We can state that the pace of storytelling has changed a lot in 35 years. A memorable sequence is shown 14 min. into the film: the one about the suitor who was going to hitch a ride on the cable car.
