THE WORD OF GOD MUST BE PROCLAIMED Revival 11/16/2024 Why must the Word of God be preached? Romans 10:14-17. But how can they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? 15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!” 16 But not all have obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” 17 So then faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. How can the Word of God be preached? Deuteronomy 32:46. Let your hearts be attentive to all the words with which I testify to you today, that you may command your children to observe to do all the words of this law. Psalm 71:18. Even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come. Psalm 40:10. I have not hidden your righteousness within me; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your lovingkindness and your truth from the great congregation. Psalm 51:15. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare your praise. 1. Proclaiming the Lord is the duty of each of us! 1 Corinthians 11:26. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. Isaiah 43:10. You are my witnesses, says the LORD, and my servants whom I have chosen… Matthew 28:18-20. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age. 2. Refusing to be a Faithful Servant! 2 Kings 7:9. … then they said to one another, Are we not doing well? This is a day of good tidings, and have we kept silent? If we wait until the daybreak, judgment will surely come upon us. Matthew 25:26-30. But his master answered and said to him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, … cast him out into the outer darkness… 3. Great reward for those who preach the word of God! 2 Peter 1:19. And we have the word of the prophets made more sure, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Romans 10:15. As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things! Daniel 12:3. And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars for ever and ever. John 5:2-9. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; and whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had already been in that condition a long time, he said to him, Do you want to be made well? 7 The sick man answered Him, Lord, I have no man, when the water is stirred up, to put me into the pool; but while I am coming, another steps down before me. 8 Jesus said to him, Rise, take up your bed, and walk. 9 And immediately the man was made well, and took up his bed, and walked. Mark 5:18-20. And as He was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons begged Him to stay with Him. 19 But Jesus would not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him.
