The story of Winamp begins in the mid-1990s with Justin Frankel and some of his developer friends. In 1997, the team released the first finished version of Winamp under the name Nullsoft. In 1999, when Winamp 2 was on the market, AOL bought the small company Nullsoft. Then things went downhill for various reasons for Winamp - versions 3 and 5 were not well received, Windows XP made progress with the media player, the iPod needed iTunes for data exchange, and so on. Now Winamp is open source for Windows. Let's see what comes of it. + + SOCIAL MEDIA + + Follow me on TikTok: / wilde90er Follow me on Instagram: / wilde90er Follow me on Tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/wilde90er + + INFO AND SOURCES + + Wikipedia: - https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winamp - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winamp - https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_... - https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nullsoft - https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napster...) - https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnutella - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_XP Internet Archive: - All Winamp versions shown as well as media player skins (unfortunately I didn't write down any links, sorry) - MP3 Power!
