Hello everyone... we are delighted to take you on the first stage of our thru-hike of the Westweg today. The Westweg is, alongside the Mittelweg and the Ostweg, the oldest of the three north-south long-distance hiking trails through the Black Forest. It leads from Pforzheim to Basel. The approximately 286-kilometer-long high-altitude hiking trail was created in 1900 as the first long-distance hiking trail in Germany.
