Ban Pa Kam, Dong Phaya Subdistrict, Bo Kluea District, Nan Province, the villagers are the Lua hill tribe people. The village is located in the mountain range in Doi Phu Kha National Park. The houses here are made of wood raised high on stilts, with thatched roofs that extend almost to the ground. These houses have special features that can protect from heat in summer, water in the rainy season, and cold wind in winter. Today, there are only 7 houses left because the thatch grass used for the roof is rare and difficult to maintain because the roof must be replaced almost every year. Although the appearance of the houses has changed, the internal structure still maintains the original form, which is that every house must have a traditional room, which is a room for worshipping ancestors and sacred objects. Outsiders are absolutely forbidden from entering. The villagers here mainly grow rice, vegetables, farms, and collect forest products. In the dry season, the villagers' fields have field crops and vegetables for cooking. If there is any leftover, they may sell it or exchange it with vegetables from people living in the area below. Ban Khun Nam Chon, a village about 3.5 kilometers from Ban Pa Kam, has a type of wild fruit that bears fruit 4-5 times. It is a fruit that the villagers wait to pick and eat. Villagers call it "Pae Dab". This type of tree is found in the forest near the village. It is a tall tree. Its way of finding food is to collect ripe fruits that have fallen under the tree or to use a slingshot to shoot ripe fruits that are on the tree. This forest area is both an amusement park for the children in the village and a place for the villagers to find food.
