These are the first three German colonies in Argentina and although they have a lot of history, they continue to be quite unknown. They are three small colonies in the Olavarría district called Colonia Hinojo, Colonia San Miguel and Colonia Nievas. These three small colonies are located in the central area of ​​the province of Buenos Aires and have the peculiarity that they are the first colonies of Volga Germans that were formed in the entire country. Germans from Russia, with a long and turbulent history, arrived in our country around 1878 and finally found the tranquility they were looking for. They worked the land and became part of that Argentina that was the breadbasket of the world. These three colonies are small towns very close to each other that have maintained their customs and roots and, in turn, are now perfectly integrated into Argentine culture.
