The future of the fair is uncertain in 2021. Higher costs, lower visitor numbers and, to top it all off, the corona crisis that brought the fair to a standstill for a long time. We follow the lives of Denise Speelman (24), Agnes Harms (18), Karel Eckelboom (18) and Toon Hoefnagels (21), all of whom come from a centuries-old fairground family. Will the new generation take over, or will they - out of necessity - opt for a different future? ⭐ Kermisbloed is a documentary series about four young fairground operators and their future. Behind the exciting attractions, bright party lights and loud music lies a fierce battle. Those who want to survive at the fair must work hard and be smart entrepreneurs. Who will choose to continue the family tradition? And who will opt for more security and therefore for 'civilian existence'? Brandpunt+ consists of a group of young makers who tell journalistic stories.
