Here are Karin and Rune Stafås' daughters Ann-Katrin, 5 years old, and Yvonne, 10 years old, at home on the Stavåsnäs outdoor farm in the winter of 1967, when they were the main characters in TV Sweden's documentary film series for children, which depicts the episode titles: autumn, summer, winter and spring and autumn in the northwest Lima, Västerdalarna. The four-part, 25-minute series was titled Vildmarkbarn and the first part was broadcast on TV on 29 December 1967, the second part on 5 January 1968, the third on 12 January and the fourth on 19 January. It was repeated two years later, in 1970, a period document well worth showing again today in 2024 for the generation of children whose fathers weren't even born when the series was filmed over 56 years ago. The film was produced and filmed by Lennart Österlund (1927-2007) Falun and directed by Birger Stafås (1919-1989) Falun. (The girls' uncle).
