It posts an advertisement to recruit the insufficient personnel, but there are almost no applicants. The medical staff who have difficulty getting in leave the hospital soon after due to issues such as children's education and living environment. In addition, there are many patients who insist on going to hospitals in Seoul and patients who ignore local hospitals, making it even harder for medical staff. However, there are medical staff who take care of patients with a greater sense of mission because of this environment. We visit their fierce medical field, where they fulfill their calling for patients even in difficult environments. ▶ I want to help medically underserved areas Director Cho Seok-beom served as a public health doctor in Sunchang and then ran a pediatric clinic in Gyeonggi-do. However, in 2022, when he applied for the competition to select the director of Sunchang-gun Health and Medical Center, he quit the hospital he had run for over 20 years and came to Sunchang alone, away from his wife and son. He wanted to help Sunchang, which had given him warm memories when he was young, and Sunchang, which had now become a medically underserved area. The reality he faced when he came down to the region was more serious than he thought.
