The Traveling Judge, presented by Mieke van der Weij, in which judge Mr. Frank Visser gives a verdict in a conflict. The case is assessed on the spot, a hearing follows and the case is later judged in the courtroom (the studio). The verdict is binding and appeal is not possible and all parties agree in advance. In this episode: The lied truth. 1. At the end of 2002, an agreement was reached between the parties in which Plessius BV committed itself to refinishing a coffee table belonging to Ronda for the price of € 200. The intention was that the coffee table, after removing the old layers of lacquer and/or wax, would be smoothly repainted in a mahogany red color, similar to that of a mahogany cabinet present at Ronda's home. 2. Plessius BV then had the coffee table treated with lye by a third party, whereby the old layers of lacquer and/or wax were removed. Plessius BV then varnished the table several times in a mahogany red colour. 3. The coffee table now looks good at first glance. The colour is similar to, but not entirely the same as, the mahogany cabinet mentioned above. A large number of damages were found, particularly on the underside, which were apparently deliberately made. The table surface has remained fairly rough. 4. The coffee table in question was purchased by Ronda approximately 25 years ago from the Geurts company, whose current director Mol was heard as a witness in this case.
