Le Van Duyet Tomb, also known as Ong Tomb, is the temple and tomb of General Le Van Duyet (1764-1832); currently located at 1 Vu Tung Street. Before 1975, the road running along the west side of Ong Tomb was named Le Van Duyet Avenue. In 1975, this section was renamed Dinh Tien Hoang Street. In 2020, after many years of renaming, this section of the road was restored to its old name, Le Van Duyet Street, on the occasion of his 188th death anniversary. Ong Tomb is nearly 2 hectares wide on a plot of land located between four streets: Le Van Duyet, Phan Dang Luu, Trinh Hoai Duc and Vu Tung. Because Ong Tomb is located in Ba Chieu area, people commonly call it Ong Ba Chieu Tomb. After his death, people worshiped and offered sacrifices to him with the ritual of worshipping gods. Every year on his death anniversary, tens of thousands of people came to attend. In particular, a very large number of Chinese people came to attend the ceremony. Because during his lifetime as the Governor of Gia Dinh, he had policies and guidelines to support and create conditions for the Chinese community to develop their professions, settle down and make a living in their second homeland and they considered him a god of fortune. -------------------------------------- If you find the video interesting, don't forget to click LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and SHARE. ▶️ Channel address: https://www.youtube.com/c/TungTangKhác... ▶️ For any information, please contact: [email protected].
