In this show, Eric Perrin invites you to Lescun, in the Aspe Valley. This town, in the center of a huge glacial cirque and located at an altitude of 900 meters, is the highest in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. It is here that Camille Machado realized her dream, in 2019 she created a farm, "Les caprices de Lescun". This passionate young woman, with an atypical background, makes fresh cheese and raises Basque-Béarnaise sheep and Pyrenean goats. It is with another woman passionate about this environment, Françoise Stuttgé, that Eric and Camille go for a walk around Lescun. Françoise is a mountain guide, just like Camille she is not originally from the Aspe Valley, but she too fell in love with these landscapes. In Nay, Eric enters one of the last two French companies to handcraft cowbells, bells hung around the necks of animals in herds. Labeled "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant", the Daban family has been perpetuating this tradition since 1795! Finally, to end this escapade in the Aspe Valley, Eric invites you to discover his favorite, the impressive Fort du Portalet. During a detour in the Aspe Valley, we will try to understand what those who live there year-round without being born there came to look for in these mountains.
