A real gold rush begins in the city. The heroes themselves join the search, very soon stumbling upon the old workings of a brick factory, where, hidden from prying eyes, there is an operating workshop for washing and cleaning gold from impurities. To the surprise of the heroes, his activities are covered up by the Sheriff himself, who turns out to be just a pawn in the hands of a much more influential person.
