The story of the people of Ad and the destruction of their strength The story of the people of Ad is one of the stories that many people like to read, and the people of Ad are the people to whom God Almighty sent our master Hood, peace be upon him, who is considered one of the best prophets who carried the message of calling to believe in God alone with no partner, and the people of Ad were from the Arab peoples. The story of the people of Aad The people of Aad lived in Yemen, specifically in Al-Ahqaf, which is considered a sand mountain. God had blessed them with physical strength and gave them a lot of money, until they became people of physical and material strength. The people of Aad were among the greatest military powers of their time, and they had the caliphate on earth after the people of Noah, peace be upon him. The power of the people of Aad was unmatched by any power of their time. They also obtained the comforts of life because of the prosperity, strength and ability they possessed. They were distinguished by raising livestock, establishing factories and construction, and they were distinguished by their great civilization and their control over all aspects of life. Sending God Almighty, our Master Hud, to the people of Aad The story of the people of Aad began when God Almighty sent our Master Hud to the people of Aad with the message of monotheism in God Almighty alone, with no partner, and he called his people to thank God for the blessings that God had bestowed upon them and to return the favor to God. Many scholars have mentioned that there is no miracle written for our master Hood in the Holy Quran, except that his miracle was his existence and his challenge to his people, as despite all the power that the people of Ad had, they were unable to harm our master Hood in any way, even though he was alone facing an entire people. The people of Ad disbelieved in the Prophet Hood. The people of Ad disbelieved in their prophet Hood and did not respond to him, and they directed insults, accusations and mockery at him, and that was disrespect towards God Almighty and towards His great prophet. The people of Aad were the first to worship idols after the people of Noah, as the earth was devoted to the oneness of God Almighty for ten centuries between Adam and Noah. After that, the people of Noah came and worshipped idols, so God Almighty destroyed them and protected the believers who believed in God. After them came the people of Aad, who also worshipped idols. They were proud and boastful that they were idol worshippers, and they also mocked and cursed their prophet Hud, while Hud responded to that denial, mockery, and curse with kindness and gentleness in calling to believe in God, and he insisted on reminding and guiding his people to the path of guidance. The destruction and torment of the people of Aad Allah Almighty punished the people of the oppressors in a manner that befitted their oppression and their rejection of the call of the Prophet of Allah, as the people of Aad were strong and mighty, and had authority over bodies and civilization, but when they disbelieved in Allah, Allah sent His punishment and destruction upon them, and unleashed the winds upon them, as all their strength was destroyed by the simplest things, which is the air they breathe. Allah unleashed the wind upon them and it continued for eight days, until it uprooted their homes and fortresses, so that an individual from the people would be raised high in the sky and then fall to the ground and break his head, and the winds carried some of them and threw them into the sea, and no one remained from the disbelievers in Allah Almighty and His Prophet Hud.
