Former Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan recalled President Abdurrahman Wahid alias Gus Dur. Luhut was promised to become a minister long before Gus Dur became President of the Republic of Indonesia. Luhut shared the memory in the Sahabat Mahfud program which was broadcast on the Mahfud MD Official YouTube channel, Saturday (11/16/2024). Luhut and Mahfud talked about the friendship that was formed because of Gus Dur. Luhut told the story of how he first met Gus Dur when breaking the fast in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta. At that time, Luhut was introduced to Gus Dur by LB Moerdani. Initially, Luhut didn't think much of it, but when October 2000, Gus Dur was proven to be the President of the Republic of Indonesia. However, Luhut still doubts whether Gus Dur still remembers his promise.
