One of the best-known is a work composed by the Persian author Abū Ishāq Ibrāhīm bin Mansūr bin Khalaf of Neyshābūr (a city located in Khorasan, Northeast Iran) in the 12th century AD; another was composed by Muhammad al-Kisai in the 8th century AD; others include al-Tha'labi's Ara'is al-Majalis (d. 1035, AH 427) and Ibn Kathir's Qasas al-Anbiya (d. 1372, AH 774). The Fatimid Ismaili jurist Qadi al-Nu'man also discusses the story (qiṣṣa) of the Birth of Jesus, explaining its esoteric significance (taʾwīl) in his Foundation of Esoteric Interpretation (Asās al-Taʾwīl). The narrations within the Qisas Al-Anbiya are not about historical accuracy, but rather about wisdom and moral teachings. The differences between Prophet and Messenger; 1. A Rasul was a messenger of Allah who was given a new Shariat (codes of law) from Him. And a Nabi was also the messenger of Allah, but he was not given any new Shariat and followed the shariat of earlier Rasul. “Every messenger is a Prophet [Nabi], but not every Prophet is a Rasul [Apostle] All Prophets were Prophets but all Prophets were not Prophets. 2. A Prophet is always a Nabi by birth, but a Prophet becomes a Rasul when he officially receives the post and declares it. For example, our Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu #alaihi wasallam was a Nabi by birth, but became a Rasul when he officially received and delivered the message of Risalat at the age of 40. 3. The Rasul [Apostle] receives the message from Allah in many different manners such as, vision during sleep, direct communication with angels when he is awake. ie, he can see and speak to the angels during communication of Divine message. But the Nabi [Prophet] differs from the Rasul in that he does not see the angels when awake but sees during sleep. 4. The Rasul is higher in rank than a Prophet. The Prophet Muhammad was the last and greatest of them. below are the names of 25 Prophets mentioned in the Qur'an in Arabic and English. Hazrat Adam AS Hazrat Idris AS Hazrat Nuh AS Hazrat Hud AS Hazrat Saleh AS Hazrat Lut AS Hazrat Ibrahim AS Hazrat Ismail AS Hazrat Ishaq AS Hazrat Yaqub AS Hazrat Yusuf AS Hazrat Shu'aib AS Hazrat Ayyub AS Hazrat Dhu'l-Kifl AS Hazrat Musa AS Hazrat Harun AS Hazrat Dawud AS Hazrat Sulayman AS Hazrat Ilyas AS Hazrat Al-Yasa' AS Hazrat Yunus AS Hazrat Zakariya AS Hazrat Yahya AS Hazrat Isa AS Hazrat Muhammad SAW #Qasas
