On Friday, September 16, 2016, the Stone Age House in Herxheim was inaugurated and the very next day I set off there to shoot this film. This Stone Age House was rebuilt west of Herxheim in the summer of 2016 - on the site where Stone Age settlers had lived in such houses 7,500 years ago. The Stone Age House is complemented by the well box, which was assembled from split oak trunks in a log construction method, and the work of art "Sculpture", which was designed and built by a project group from the Villa Wieser Herxheim art school. It shows a Stone Age axe, enlarged many times over, which was used to clear the local primeval forests 7,500 years ago and to build the longhouse villages. Both the well and the giant axe completed the Stone Age ensemble at the 2015 State Garden Show.
