The significance of the repetition of (the shirt) in Surat Yusuf by His Eminence Dr. Fadhel Al-Samarra’i - (And they brought his shirt with false blood (18)) (And she tore his shirt from the back (25)) (Go with this shirt of mine and throw it on my father’s face (93)) [Surat Yusuf] Within the series of new episodes that are shown exclusively on our channel, we present to you this episode. This episode of the program "Lamasat Bayaniyyah" was broadcast on 5/17/2007. Transcript.. Taken from the Islamiyat website http://islamiyyat.com ==== ... First, the shirt was used as evidence three times in three places: It was used as forged evidence in His statement (And they brought his shirt with false blood) This is forged evidence and not correct evidence (with false blood) They came to prove their claim that the wolf ate him with the shirt that had false blood on it. This evidence is forged, so He used it first as forged evidence. And He used it again as correct evidence to reach the innocence of Joseph (And a witness from her family testified that if his shirt was torn from the front, then she has told the truth and he is of the liars) So the first was forged and the second was correct evidence to prove innocence. The third piece of evidence: He used a valid piece of evidence to prove that Joseph was still alive (Take this shirt of mine and throw it on my father's face; he will regain his sight). It was good news for his father and a reason for his sight to be restored. Valid evidence in Joseph's shirt and in the smell is now used as evidence of police dogs, used to infer the smell. It is not necessarily the first shirt, but Jacob (peace be upon him) knows the smell of his son. The shirt was mentioned three times and each time a piece of evidence was used, three pieces of evidence: a forged piece of evidence, a valid piece of evidence to reach a verdict, and a valid piece of evidence to infer that Joseph was still alive. The other thing is that it was used at the beginning of Jacob's grief (And they brought his shirt with false blood) and at the end of his grief (Take this shirt of mine). It was used three times in three stages of Joseph’s life: when he was young (and they brought his shirt with false blood). So the shirt was used as evidence in three places and for three stages of life in Joseph’s life: The first stage was the stage of throwing him into the well (and they brought his shirt with false blood) which made him a slave and he lived as a stranger with people other than his family. The middle stage was his imprisonment after the incident with the wife of the Aziz. He entered another stage, which was prison. This stage was when he reached maturity and his life became different from the first pattern. The third stage was his reunion with his family and their happiness together. So there are three stages: the first when he became a slave and separated from his family, the second when he became a prisoner, and the third was his reunion with his family. There is a question: When the caravan separated, their father said: “Indeed, I smell the scent of Joseph, unless you do not refute it.” So the scent of Joseph is in the shirt. This is a proven fact that every person has a special scent, but not all people can distinguish it; only police dogs can distinguish it. Then there are people who, if you blindfold them, you give them a shirt and ask them whose it is. They say, “For so-and-so,” and they know it from the scent. I remember that one of their pilgrims told me that his brother’s wife washes the entire family’s clothes in the washing machine and they blindfold her and say, “Take out your husband’s clothes so she can smell them.” She then collects her husband’s clothes after washing them. They said, “She is stronger than police dogs.” So I smell the scent of Joseph, and this is a long distance away, and this happens. A crocodile can smell its prey from kilometers away. So this is an indication that every person has a scent that is valid and suitable for judgment and inference, and we use it for inference. There is another noteworthy coincidence in the story of Joseph: the shirt was mentioned in three places and the visions were three: the vision of Joseph when he was young (“Indeed, I saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating to me” (4) Joseph), the vision of the two prisoners, and the vision of the king. So the shirts are three, the visions are three, and the trips to Joseph are three: The first trip is when they came to ask Joseph to take provisions (And Joseph's brothers came and entered upon him, and he recognized them, but they did not recognize him (58)), and the second trip is when they brought their brother and kept him with him (And when they entered upon Joseph, he sheltered his brother (69)), and the third stage is when they said (So when they entered upon him, they said, "O Exalted One, distress has touched us and our family, and we have brought mixed merchandise (88)"). So there are three trips. The shirts are three, the visions are three, and the trips are three in terms of number. This is from the agreements. Visions change and are not the same because the dreamer is not one, but rather they are different visions. The shirt is not one, but rather it also changes: a shirt when he was young, a shirt when he reached maturity, and a shirt that he sent to his father.
