The Shrew is a 1967 Yeşilçam movie starring Hülya Koçyiğit and İzzet Günay. You can watch it in one piece. The movie tells the story of what happens to Zerrin, who goes to Istanbul to work. Zerrin graduated from teacher training school at the top of her class. She needs to start working immediately to support her family. For this reason, she rejects the offer to get a higher education. Her father wants Zerrin to be transferred to Istanbul. Her friend Namık, whom she hasn't seen for years, steps in. However, she has to go to Maraş for compulsory service. Namık, a rich businessman, offers her to stay in Istanbul by paying the compensation. The businessman, who lost his wife years ago, does not hide his interest in the young girl. He plays a game so that Zerrin, who rejects the marriage proposal, does not leave Istanbul. Zerrin, who is forced to marry Namık, is determined to take revenge. Namık's son Ergun will also loom over this relationship like a second shadow.
