The new chapter of the documentary series 'El Secret de les Pedres' shows us the history and the best anecdotes of this emblematic building, a monumental building erected by the merchants of Ciutat de Mallorca. With this building, the Merchants' Association aims to show its importance within Mallorcan society at the time it was built, the 15th century. The construction has gone down in history as one of the best examples of Gothic in the Islands, along with Bellver Castle and the Cathedral of Mallorca. Entrusted to Guillem Sagrera, the prestigious artist created one of his masterpieces, granting grandeur and movement, along with an uncommon artistic delicacy. This space still amazes today. Sagrera suffered financial hardships to promote the construction, and in fact the architect and the merchants ended up in a lawsuit for not agreeing on the interpretation of the signed contract. This Wednesday's episode reveals some of the secrets of the construction, as well as some of the most unknown anecdotes of the moment. Without a doubt, the 3D recreations of the construction process add great value to the space, which shows for the first time how this work was carried out. In addition, the episode has some fictions that allow us to experience the story more closely. This chapter features the participation of the actor Sant Celaya, among other performers, and interviews with experts who know the Llotja de Palma best.
