The splendid Basilica of Santo Stefano is nothing other than the reconstruction of the places of the Passion and death of Jesus according to the same territorial conformation of the Holy Land, in an entire area of the city that goes from Santo Stefano to San Giovanni in Monte, passing through the streets that connect the two churches. This site was wanted by Bishop Petronio. Over the centuries, the area became increasingly known as a pilgrimage destination, to the point of obtaining in the Middle Ages from the Holy See the same indulgences granted for pilgrimages to the Holy Places. Guide and scientific advice Fra Francesco Mazzon and Professor Fernando Lanzi. An E'Tv-Rete7 production.
