Saci is a book by Brazilian writer Monteiro Lobato from 1921 that portrays Brazilian culture. Pedrinho went hunting in Capoeirão dos Tucanos, the virgin forest of Sítio do Picapau Amarelo, and met a saci, who told him the secrets of the forest and several legends of Brazilian folklore, such as the Headless Mule, the Boitatá, the Werewolf, the Little Black Boy of Pastoreio and many other things... Together, they saved Narizinho from Cuca's spell, Pedrinho almost went blind with Iara and Cuca died of fear of the water drops.
