Kiko Loureiro, guitarist for Megadeth, one of the biggest rock bands in the world – and with whom he won a Grammy for Best Metal Performance in 2016 –, talks about the music industry and what many artists still don't see in terms of career development. The musician tells his story, from when he dropped out of his Biology course at USP to play with the band Dominó, to his long stint with Angra, a band that made him famous worldwide, receiving several Gold Records in Brazil, Japan and Germany. Kiko began to venture into the distance learning market in the 90s, creating guitar courses for beginners. His product evolved with technology, going from VHS to DVD, until it became an online course. In addition to teaching guitar, Kiko noticed a lack of products focused on career management in the market. So he also created his Music Business, combining the entire side of entrepreneurship with music. An important lesson from the guitarist, valid for any type of business, is: practice alone does not lead to evolution. You need to be aware of your mistakes and always correct any details, in a continuous process of self-criticism and attention. However, the musician also teaches us that when creating a product or strategy, the process should not have filters, so as not to inhibit creativity. This way, it is possible to take advantage of the intuitive side, which can be a great differentiator. Follow Kiko Loureiro's channel: / kikoloureiroofficial Stay up to date with the ????
