The Guardianship Council is a municipal body that protects the rights of children and adolescents. Its jurisdiction is provided for in the Child and Adolescent Statute. Recently, the Public Prosecutor's Office monitored the unified elections that elected approximately 30,000 new Councilors in Brazil.
