In my time as a student one of my teachers shared this tool with me, at first I didn't pay much attention to it, then I started studying with it and I noticed how my knowledge of scales and chords increased significantly on the guitar, since then it has become one of my secret weapons when practicing guitar. The random sheet is one of the best tools that exist for studying the guitar, in principle it is something very simple, they are sequences of notes which include the chromatic scale, the notes of each of the sequences do not have a specific order. Being a random sequence of notes, the exercise responds to interpreting the material that is being studied (scales, chords, arpeggios) according to the requested note. The advantage of studying with the Random sheet is that it prepares us to read different language resources at first sight, it helps us gain mental speed, which is the most important to develop on the guitar. I have always thought that the most important speed we must develop is the mental one, the ability to use any scale or type of chord, to reach them in fractions of a second, this undoubtedly makes us better performers. In the lesson I will show how I use this element to get better study sessions and to be able to cover many aspects for each exercise, it is a tool that I have used for years to study scales, chords and lately I use it to transpose songs, to get used to working in any key.
