However, the tunnel is so narrow that they cannot use excavation machines and must dig only with manpower. As a result, the amount of thrust that can be excavated in a day is only 40 centimeters. Furthermore, the only equipment used to drill into the rock is a small machine! Therefore, in order to finish the construction period on time, it is difficult work that must be done day and night in two shifts 24 hours a day, but we go into the extreme site where they endure dust and noise in a closed tunnel for more than half a day! - Unpredictable extreme rock appears! Find a solution! A solid rock appears in front of them as they were digging the ground with an excavation machine. The main character of the solid rock that stopped the excavation work is an extremely hard rock that is difficult to drill with a normal excavation machine. An emergency meeting was called among the workers, and they decided to break the rock using gunpowder blasting. However, another obstacle was encountered! There are about 10 types of underground facilities buried within a 5m section right above the tunnel site! Gunpowder blasting can cause a major accident, so they decide to do a weak blasting test. Will they be able to successfully complete the blasting and resume work? - The first step to undergrounding, drill a vertical shaft 30m underground! A huge hole with a diameter of 10m is drilled in the middle of the city. It is a 'vertical shaft' that will connect the surface and the underground during underground work. If you go down the stairs 30m underground, you can see people working on the excavation while wearing helmets and masks. Since they are drilling through solid rock, noise and dust are a given! Since it is underground where it is difficult to leave once work begins, they have a unique way of lowering a rope from the surface even when eating snacks! This requires advanced technology and specialized knowledge. Will they be able to finish installing it safely? An unexpected situation! The excavation machine suddenly stops! The people working in the vertical shaft check the work situation inside the tunnel through the walkie-talkie that receives the aboveground and underground. After exchanging walkie-talkies, the site supervisor suddenly becomes busy and urgently goes up to the ground where the machine control room is to check the situation. There is a mysterious defect in the machine that transports the soil that comes out when digging the tunnel! If work continues like this, damage to the excavation equipment worth billions of won may occur, so they decide to stop the machine work immediately. To make matters worse, unexpected rain pours down on the site. Will they be able to resume work quickly? - The final stage of the underground cable work, cable finishing work! The final stage of underground work! Today is finally the day when the grand tunnel excavation is finished and the cable wires are laid. The length to be installed today is 260 meters. However, since it is close to 30 kg per meter, all twenty workers must be mobilized to complete the work. The cable line is slowly lowered into the maze-like tunnel, and twenty workers move the cable line together. However, the work that must be completed well is delayed, and thanks to the unity of the people, they successfully transported it to the designated location in one go! Then, when the cable installation is finished and power is supplied, the snake laying method is used to prevent shrinkage and expansion caused by the heat and temperature difference generated by the cable itself! Once their cable finishing is complete and the substation team comes and completes the electrical installation, the underground power line work will come to a grand close.
