Based on the words of Shakyamuni (the sutra) and the commentaries of high priests who have preached these sutras according to the era, Saint Shinran summarized the infallibility of the teachings of Namu Amida Butsu and praised the certainty of Amida Buddha's salvation. Commonly known as Shoshinge, it is included at the end of the "Gyo-kan" chapter of Saint Shinran's main work, "Ken Jodo Shinjitsu Kyo Gyo Sho Monrui." The eighth head priest of Honganji, Rennyo Shonin, established the recitation of this sutra in the morning and evening as a daily practice for both monks and followers of the Jodo Shinshu sect, along with the "Wasan." Let's recite it aloud together. [Ge of Right Faith] [Song of Shinjin] I pay homage to the Buddha Amitabha, whose light and life are boundless, and I chant Namu Amida, incomprehensible light. When the bodhisattva Dharmakara was in the causal position of the monk Dharmakara, in ancient times, under the presence of the Worldly King, I glimpsed the causes of the Pure Land of all Buddhas, and inquired into the causes of the Pure Land of all Buddhas. I did not know the good or bad of the people and heavenly beings of the land, so I made an unsurpassable vow. I make an extraordinary vow, and make a rare vow. After a long time of contemplation for five kalpas, I vowed to hear the sound of his fame in the ten directions, and to choose this vow. I will radiate limitless and boundless light, and I vow again and again to spread my name as the King of Flame of Unhindered and Unparalleled Light. The twelve rays of pure joy and wisdom light that I have heard are emitting an everlasting, unthinkable light that illuminates many countries. The light that shines beyond the sun and moon shines upon the dust and seas of the universe. All living things and all living beings are illuminated by this light. With single-minded faith in the name of the original vow, the correct practice of the original vow, and the fulfillment of the original vow, you will attain enlightenment and realize great nirvana. This is the sign that the wish to save oneself from nirvana will be fulfilled. The Tathagata thus appears in this world, and the World-Honored One, the teacher of Amida Buddha, vowed to preach, "Only preaching the ocean of Amida's original vow." He was born into this world in the five defiled and evil times, and in this cloudy world where the ocean of living beings is muddied, so even those who are confused should have faith in the Tathagata's true words. With a single thought of joy and love and a heart that can be born, once faith is born Never cut off your earthly desires and attain nirvana. When you cut off your earthly desires, you will attain nirvana. Just as all the waters and seas are one in the same, ordinary people and ordinary people are one in the same. The light of the mind is always illuminating and protecting. Even though you are able to break through the darkness of ignorance, the darkness of ignorance will clear away. The clouds of delusion, the mist of greed, anger, and hatred, will not disappear. True faith always covers the heavens. Just as the light of the sun covers the clouds and mist, and it is hidden
