On November 19, a ceremony of taking over the tradition by the 5th Podhale Riflemen Battalion named after Brig. Gen. Andrzej Galica took place in the Old Town Market Square in Przemyśl. During the ceremony, soldiers of the preparatory training took a military oath, and the standard was accepted by the Battalion commander, Colonel Zenon Brzuszko. In addition to representatives of the Polish parliament and local government, the event was attended by families and friends of the Podhale people.
