Allah ﷻ says; ⤵️ Glory be to Allah, Who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farth Mosque, the surroundings of which We have blessed, so that We might show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. Let us show him some of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing! Surah Al-Isra [17:1] The foolish among the people will say, “What has turned them away from their Qiblah which they used to face?” Say, “To Allah belongs the East and the West. He guides whom He wills to a straight path.” (The Qibla of the Muslims was originally towards Jerusalem. When the Prophet (ﷺ) migrated to Medina, he would pray towards Jerusalem for sixteen or seventeen months. Allah commanded in verse 144 of Surah Al-Baqarah to pray towards the Sacred Mosque. With the revelation of this verse, the Kaaba became the Qibla of the Muslims.) Say: “To Allah belong the East and the West. He guides whom He wills to a straight path.” Surah Al-Baqarah [2:142]
