In Bantar Gebang, there is a small village that is home to scavengers who live off the proceeds of collecting garbage. In this place, restaurant leftovers are the main source of livelihood for many families. The scavengers collect food that has been thrown away from fancy restaurants, clean it as best they can, then cook it again to be consumed with their families. The condition of this village is very concerning. Simple huts made of wood, used plywood, and rusty zinc are their homes. The rent for these huts is not cheap, reaching 300-400 thousand rupiah per month, even though the facilities are very minimal. In one narrow room, they sleep, cook, and carry out their daily activities. When it rains, water easily seeps into the house, making them cold at night. In summer, the scorching heat bounces off the zinc roof, adding to their suffering. Bathing, washing, and toilet facilities (MCK) are also limited. Some have to share public bathrooms, while others are forced to take advantage of the surrounding environment at all costs. This village is a real picture of the struggle to survive in extreme poverty. However, behind the harshness of life, there is solidarity among the residents, helping each other to survive the challenges of life. Leftover food that is reprocessed becomes a symbol of their resilience, showing how hard they try to survive despite their limitations. This village in Bantar Gebang is a real portrait of the social inequality that still occurs in Indonesia, as well as a reminder that there are many of our brothers and sisters who live in conditions that are far from decent. inquery bussines email to [email protected] instagram : @duasepatu.id Enjoy ! and thank you for watching IG : https://instagram.com/dua.sepatu.id?i...
