On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, on the authority of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: Whoever says in a day, “There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate, to Him belongs dominion and to Him is praise, and He has power over all things,” one hundred times, it will be equivalent to freeing ten slaves, one hundred good deeds will be recorded for him, one hundred bad deeds will be erased from his record, and he will be protected from Satan that day until evening. No one will come with anything better than what he has come with, except a man who has done more than he has done. The hadith of Abu Sa`id al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him: ((I have left among you that which if you hold fast to, you will never go astray after me: the two weighty things - one of them is greater than the other - the Book of Allah, a rope extended from the heavens to the earth, and my family, my household. Beware, they will never separate until they come to me at the Cistern.)) Narrated by Ahmad (11578), Ibn Abi Asim in ((As-Sunnah)) (1553), Abu Ya`la (1140), and At-Tabarani.
