Always by the side of man and his animals: The touching story of PapaYiannis In the village of Artopoula, Ioannina, we met Father Ioannis, a man with many qualities and a life full of giving. Born in 1952, Father Ioannis grew up in a poor family, where raising sheep and growing small crops was the only way to survive. From a young age, he helped his father with the chores, thus acquiring a multitude of skills. Today, a retired priest, he is involved in his fields, his animals, and even with mechanical issues, helping his villagers. His love for the church led him to follow the priestly ministry, always by the side of his parishioners, supporting them in joys and sorrows. Now retired, Papa Giannis dedicates his time to his sheep and helping his fellow villagers where they need him.
