They have more dynamics, and the flash also adds a more commercial character. I most often reach for the large and expensive Profoto B1 lamp with 500 Ws power, while most photographers start their strobing adventure with reporter lamps. That's why I decided to prepare a material in which I took a small and light Profoto A1 lamp, a radio trigger, a tripod, a handle, a silver umbrella and a bag of sand for safety. It is important that the lamp has an HSS system that will allow it to synchronize with any shutter speed. Another important aspect is the selection of the place and time. In order for the flash to be visible, we absolutely have to give up the ambition of breaking through the sun on a summer afternoon. However, it is enough to go into the shadow of buildings and trees for even such a small and relatively weak lamp to show its claws. I invited model Jagoda to my film, with whom we prepared a very simple city session on the boulevards of Wrocław. About an hour of shooting was enough to prepare good, diverse material.
