(Explanation in the description box) Explanation of Puyo Puyo terms used in this video☆Main Line/Main BodyThe main chainStarting a chain is called "hitting a chain" or "igniting a chain"☆Secondary GunA sub-chain made in addition to the main lineYou can use this sub-chain to disrupt your opponent or to respond to disruptions from your opponentAdvanced players make chains while watching the main line and secondary guns on the opponent's field☆SecondThe second chain made after hitting the main line once☆Chain TailA chain added to the end of a chain☆2 Double/2 TripleA 2-chain where the second chain is a 2-color elimination (double) or 3-color elimination (triple)Very powerful as it can send 3 to 5 jamming Puyo in about 2 secondsIf you hit it when there is an opening where your opponent cannot ignite a chain within a few moves, you will likely win (crush) ☆Extend the turn-around chain horizontally, and when it reaches the wall, extend the chain upwards. It is easy to create gaps when making a turn-around. ☆Tsumo/Tsumoru Tsumo refers to the Puyo that falls (Example: I won because I made a good tsumo) When a yellow Puyo comes it is called "tsumo the yellow". ☆Escalation Hit your secondary gun (sub chain) to encourage your opponent to ignite their main line first In Puyo Puyo matches, it is generally advantageous to make your opponent hit their main line first. For example, say 1P has made a 6-chain main line + 4-chain secondary gun, and 2P has made a 10-chain main line. If 1P hits a 4-chain secondary gun and urges, 2P will have no choice but to ignite the 10-chain main line. 1P has a 6-chain main line left, so if 2P hits a 10-chain and extends the 6-chain to 11 or more in the 10 seconds or so that 2P hits the 10-chain, they can win. In Puyo Puyo, the basic strategy is to have the opponent hit first and extend it in the meantime.
