The Ostweg runs 240 km along the eastern edge of the Black Forest to Schaffhausen in Switzerland. I took the route mostly on day trips in the summer of 2024 and would now like to reflect on a few things again during the first stage. We come through the beautiful Würmtal to the Liebeneck ruins. From there, the villages of Hamberg, Steinegg and Neuhausen follow. The forest chapel and the Wendelin chapel in particular are nice waypoints for a short rest. At the end follows the Monbachtal, from where we reach the Nagoldtal. The first version was a bit extensive, which is why I have now shortened everything to what I hope is the essentials in 45 minutes.
