The seal of the aldermen shown on the title page is from 1438. Until 1808 Porz was a messenger's office, which from then on was absorbed into the French and later Prussian mayoralties of Wahn and Heumar. In 1929 Porz became a large municipality, in 1951 a city and in 1975 a part of Cologne through incorporation: the Cologne-Porz district. With a variety of images and data, this film aims to help shed light on Porz's history. It invites you on a journey through time that leads from the past back to the present.
