The film portrays the oak tree species and in particular the oak seed in the Spessart. From over 50 hours of film material, the Berlin filmmaker and artist Paul Rohlfs created a work with aesthetic images from all seasons and voices of numerous regional actors in the forestry and timber industry and nature conservation. The film was made between autumn 2020 and spring 2022 on the occasion of the inclusion of the Spessart oak seed in the state list of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. It was initiated and professionally accompanied by the forestry scientist Dr. Joachim Hamberger, and was financed by the Förderverein Zentrum WFH Weihenstephan eV. Our videos serve to transfer knowledge and exchange opinions, including on controversial topics. The content and opinions in the videos reflect those of the respective speaker.
