Unlike past generations, few Christians strive in spiritual disciplines such as prayer, meditation on the Word, and fighting against sin. We live in a culture that is offended by everything except sin, and feels apathy for the things of God. It is essential to revive that puritan spirit of seriously fighting against our sin and seeking piety, which is conformity to the image of Christ.
