THE MOST EFFECTIVE MEDICINE Ustadz Ammi Nur Baits May Allah have mercy on him ????️ Monday, December 16, 2024 ???? ANB Channel Studio, Krajan, Sleman In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Discussion of the Mukhtashar Book of Ad-Da Wad Dawa, a work by Imam Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah rahimahullah, reading the chapter about Prayer is Among the Most Effective Medicines. Prayer is an antidote to disaster, where prayer can ward off disaster or overcome disaster, prevent disaster from descending or eliminate disaster, lighten disaster if it has already descended, and prayer is a weapon for believers. Prayer is like a weapon to face Satan's temptations as Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah Verse 168 ٱلْأَرْضِ حَلَٰلًا طَيِّبًا وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ ۚ O mankind, eat of what is lawful and good on earth, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan; for he is to you an open enemy. This is as narrated by Al-Hakim in his Sahih book, from 'Ali bin Abi Thalib radhiyallahu 'anhu, that once the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Prayer is the weapon of the believers and is the pillar of religion, and the light of the heavens and the earth." When faced with a calamity, prayer has three conditions as follows. 1. Prayer is stronger than the calamity. Therefore, prayer is able to prevent the calamity from happening. 2. Prayer is weaker than the calamity. As a result, prayer is defeated so that the calamity befalls the person concerned. However, prayer can lighten the calamity even if only a little. 3. Prayer and calamity are equally strong, so they will attack and defeat each other. Bala' cannot be avoided because it is part of the sunnatullah, that every servant will be hit by a bala', it is just our attitude to return to Allah and pray to Him. From Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ, he said: منلميسألل الله غضبه الله عليهِ "Whoever does not want to ask Allah, Allah is angry with that person." In praying accompanied by a feeling of certainty that prayer will be answered. as in the hadith from Abu Hurairah, the Prophet ﷺ said, ادْعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَنْتُمْ مُوقِنُونَ God willing دُعَاءً مِنْ قَلْبٍ غَافِلٍ لاَهٍ “Pray to Allah with certainty that it will be answered, and know that Allah does not answer prayers from a heedless heart.” (Narrated by Tirmidhi no. 3479. Shaykh Al Albani said that this hadith is hasan) Wallahu'alam
