The outer moat of Nagoya Castle is privately owned by Meitetsu. The reason is that the Seto Line tracks once ran there. It was abolished when the line was extended to Sakaemachi in 1976. It was originally run by a private railway called Seto Electric Railroad, and was built as a route to transport pottery such as Seto ware. However, when Higashi-Ote Station and Sakaemachi Station were placed underground, the outer moat section disappeared. However, since it had no further use, it ended up becoming the railway company's property. I personally wrote the narration script, filmed, and edited this video. It is completely original content. #NagoyaCastle Image source: - Geospatial Information Authority of Japan Map, https://maps.gsi.go.jp/ (some editing has been done before posting)
