About :

The major construction of the Nowy Sącz-Kraków Nowy Sącz railway line has started on February 25, 2024. This is no longer a dream, no longer plans. This is reality and the implementation of plans. Major construction is taking place along the entire route from the railway station in Nowy Sącz through Klęczany, Limanowa, Podłęże and ultimately all the way to Kraków. The old tracks and sleepers were dismantled last year. Work is currently underway on hardening the area, reinforcing and drainage, in places where the future new tracks will run along with electric traction. Work is underway on escarpments, crossings and in places where the future, high platforms will be located, adapted to the world standard. New viaducts with all new railway infrastructure will also be built, all in such a way that the new route is collision-free. Since trains will cover this section in 50 minutes, everything must be done. The stations along the entire route will also take on a new look.
