It has sold over 11 million copies in total and, according to 2K CEO Strauß Zelnick, Bioshock is one of the publisher's most important brands. So why is there still no sequel over 10 years later? Finding an answer to this question is not that easy. But the good news first - Bioshock 4 is currently officially in development. The bad news - the creator of the Bioshock series, Ken Levine, is no longer involved. Levine is currently working on his own new shooter project called JUDAS. It's supposed to come out in 2025 and looks a lot like Bioshock again. Nevertheless, the last trailer for Judas still left many questions unanswered. But we know even less about the actual Bioshock 4, which is currently being developed by the studio Cloud Chamber, founded in 2019. Leaks speak of an Antarctic setting and initial job advertisements point to an open world. And then there's also the Bioshock film project with Netflix.
