The law of the mirror explains that our relationship with others and with life is a permanent game of mirrors and screens where we see ourselves reflected and project ourselves. The only real lasting relationship that you will have throughout your life, from birth to death, is the relationship you have with yourself. Everything we know about others we learn from ourselves, it is within us. We all have lights and shadows. And those qualities, often so difficult to see in ourselves, are the ones we see reflected in others. The law of the mirror helps us detect those shadows, those emotional wounds, those negative thoughts and illuminate them, understand them. The journey of life is to illuminate our shadows, learn to grow. Depending on the shadows you have, life will confront you with people and situations that will awaken that latent conflict in you, those shadows. Reality acts as a mirror for us to get to know ourselves and grow. The people who shine the brightest are precisely those who have embraced their own shadow the most, while the most sorrowful, darkest people, whose shadow everyone sees, paradoxically are those who have most denied that dark side, caused by our internal wounds, by our unhealed traumas and with which we must learn to live.
