The last train that passed through Solano station was on July 6, 1977. History The provincial railway stop at km 46.139, or rather called San Francisco Solano, was created to shorten the distance between the Monte Chingolo and Gobernador Monteverde stations. Located in the Quilmes district, it was originally called Stop km 46.139 and had a single track until the second track was added in the 1940s. During that decade its name was changed to San Francisco Solano, and it is located on the southwestern border of the Quilmes district. Over time, a town developed around it that would end up becoming a very important city in the southern area. San Francisco Solano station, formerly Stop km. 46.139, is a station located in the city of the same name, in the Quilmes district, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Its tracks are currently covered with earth and cement and it is used as the head of one of the branches of the Line 148 bus line.
