Gymnast Rebeca Andrade is the most decorated Brazilian athlete in the history of the Olympic Games, a position she achieved thanks to her performance in Paris-2024, where she won four medals. But Rebeca is also a reference in emotional intelligence – she has been undergoing therapy for 13 years. In this interview in Rio de Janeiro, she talks to journalist Camilla Veras Mota about gymnastics, mental health, resilience and how she thought about giving up the sport after injuries, but after an emotional hug from teammate Lorrane Oliveira, she turned things around.
